I just joined and I am excited to be here. I recently bought a 1969 BSA Lightning. I joined this club as I am from southern Michigan (please don't hold that against me) I am a big Browns fan. Looking forward to hearing from other members and hopefully attend some events. I remember as a younger me falling in love with the 1965 BSA Lightning Rocket used to spend so much time at the dealership they all knew by name. Unfortunately life happens and I had to put my BSA on the back burner but never out of mind. It was just 57 short years to realize my dream. I am excited

Welcome to the group! One of my BSAs is a bit of a put-together '67 Royal-Star / Spitfire hybrid that is similar to a Lightning, though something of a rat bike compared to my others. It is also becoming my favorite...the more I ride it, the more I like it. I have 2 bits of advice on the BSA twins:
1. Change the oil a lot. Mine get fresh oil about every 500 miles.
2. Ride it!
