This is the DBD34GS road race competition version of the Gold Star. It came from the factory with hi-compression piston, competition cams, 1 ½” Amal GP carburetor, RRT2 close ratio gearbox, rearset footpegs and clip on handlebars.

This example has the optional 190 mm front brake, 5 gallon alloy fuel tank and period standard handle bars, clip ons come with bike. Dunlop flanged alloy rims. It was restored by Don Bradley (a well known Gold Star expert in Daytona Beach, FL) and Locust Grove Restorations in Bainbridge, PA. I have receipts for $14,000 plus. Engine (new con rod, crank, bearings, valves, guides), gearbox, clutch (new plates, bearing), primary drive and magdyno were rebuilt. The black parts were repainted and chrome parts replated. New Hagon shocks. The tank, which had a dent in it, was opened up from the bottom to massage a dent out and then welded shut. New seat cover, tail light. Less than 500 miles since restoration. Pics, etc on request.
