A 1969 BSA 650 Lightning! Beautifully restored, totally sorted out, and turn-key-ready-to-ride. Get your hands on this baby for as little as FIVE BUCKS! And it's SO EASY!

$5.00 for one ticket or $10.00 for three (your best deal!). Send check or money order, along with SASE, to Barb Kubena, PO Box 315, Cokeburg, PA 15324. Be sure to include your name, address, and telephone number. Barb will mail your half of the raffle ticket to you.

Drawing will be conducted on Sunday, August 9th, at the OVBSAOC Rally - Toronto, Ohio. Need not be present to win, but imagine how cool to BE there, have your ticket pulled, and load the bike up on the spot and take it home with you. Wahoo!

I did! Bob Schultz of Atlanta, GA.

I bought my ticket at the Barber Motorsport Museum Fall Festival back in October of 2014. I've been buying your club's raffle tickets for the last four years now.

My wife took a picture of me holding my ticket standing behind the bike that day. She said for me to stand there like I already won it. It worked, I guess!

The picture is posted on your home page right now.

I'm very excited to have the bike. Been riding for 50 years now and just retired this past June. My hobby is restoring vintage Japanese motorcycles mostly the years 1965 through 1985. Currently restoring a 1981 Honda CB750 Custom. I'm also a Honda Gold Wing mechanic specialist and have my own shop now on the back of my house, table lift and all.

I know there's lots to learn about these old Brit bikes, so I've already found the Greater Atlanta British Motorcycle Association's web site. I'll be joining up soon. I've already read about a dozen of their tech articles on the bikes and have learned a lot already. No external oil filter, just an oil tank, 6V vs 12V,and many other topics.

The bike is still in Amsterdam at John's place, so if any club members are planning a trip from Ohio to Atlanta (or even part way) in the next few weeks and would be willing to bring the bike along let me know. That would really be a help. I'd be happy to pay for your gasoline. (Otherwise, I'll probably not get it until the club comes down for the Barber Fall Festival in October.)

Thanks to cute little Kaitlyn for drawing my ticket! Color me a happy camper!

One year after purchasing his ticket at the 2014 Barber Vintage Festival, winner Bob Schultz receives his prize at the 2015 BVF event.

Is it just me, or does Bob bear a passing resemblance to a young Groucho Marx? Just kidding, Bob!

;)
Never met a motorcycle I didn't like.

Yes, I do look like Groucho Marx in the picture of me holding up my ticket when I bought it.

I forgot to take off my clip-on sunglasses for the picture and just flipped them up instead. They made it look like I had huge eyebrows!

Funny picture or not, I'm still smiling over my "new to me" beautiful old BSA.

Had my first ride on it when I got it home to Atlanta a couple of days ago. It's gonna take me some time to get used to shifting with my right foot and braking with my left. Oops!!!
