Hello, and greetings to all....I just signed up as a new member this month. I live in Edgewater Florida, and have quite a collection of BSA`s. My `old stand by` regular rider is a 1970 Thunderbolt. I have 50 or 60 unit constuction BSA`s in various stages of completion, and quite a few A10`s. We were a public business here in Edgewater for quite a few years, doing business as Olde Iron Cycle works. I have since shut down the business and created a home shop. At 68 years of age I am retired from 33 years in the trucking business as an owner/operator, but my BSA experience spans over 50 Years. As a teenager I began to frequent Dan`s Cycle Shop, Staten Island N.Y. (`Dapper Dan` Costa as he was known in flat track racing circles). I bought a used 1968 Lightning in 1969, and a brand new blue 1970 Lightning the following year. I traveled with Dan to many flat track races in NY,NJ and PA in the 70`s, and did a 10 year or so stint as an amateur road racer in the mid to late 70`s. Had lots of fun racing a production 650 and a modified 750 BSA twin at Loudon NH, Thompson Ct. Bridgehampton NY, Pocono, Charlotte, and Daytona with AAMRR, WERA, and AMA CCS. Currently I can be found here most weekdays in my shop. We are usually building or rebuilding a couple of bikes, and sell a few now and then. If you are in the Daytona area, look us up and stop by.

Hey - I know that name Dan Costa. Also seems like I knew another guy from Staten Island named Dan Tito. But I might be wrong. It's been a long time. Also, seems like someone sent me a photo from Dan Costa's shop taken years ago, probably the same time period you reference. Glad you chose to sign up as a member of OVBSAOC, and look forward to meeting you. By the way, where is Edgewater? Is that south of Daytona a bit?
