Today broke cold and grey, there was even a snow flake or two falling, so I needed a bike that might give me some protection, and having just got something from 1987 I thought I'd take that. Sorry my BSA's were NOT coming out on a day like today..! Even so, I thought I'd share with you my ride, and also it gives me an excuse to see if I can still remember how to post photos on here...

The meeting point didn't have many there, I guess it was the cold keeping them at home..? This ride is organised by the West Kent section of the VMCC, so ANY make of bike over 25yrs old is more than welcome, and there's always a nice mix, here are some photos... I HOPE..!

Dagnabit, why did them photos come out like that..? Oh well, a bit of clicking about and you'll see them better I guess, sorry...

And now some of the types of road we get over here, full of mud and water they are, and due to the many horse riders, full of that stuff that falls from the back's of horses..!

Ha ha, SORTED it, well after all that riding and sliding in the mud, the ONLY thing left was a nice drop of Ale, and where better than an Olde English Ale house...

And IF you're wondering what bike I took..? Well, it was the Red Moto Guzzi in the photos, it's my commuter and I've only just got it, so it's me 'New' toy. Worry NOT, for the next yarn I post WILL have a fine BSA in...

Great report, and great bunch of bikes, Kent. Nothing wrong with that big Guzzi, and sitting behind that nice big fairing must have been quite comfy. Hey, love the H-D "glove warmer", too.
Yes, the Avatar image is an actual picture of me - back when I was younger and handsomer.

Webmaster sir, thanks, but worry not for the Belgium trip will be done properly, now I KNOW what I did wrong with these photos, and THAT report will be full of BSA's and not so many 'other' types. Yes indeed that mighty fairing made me feel nice and comfy, shame the lights stopped working..! If anyone wants a BSA type modern bike, I'd say, get a Moto Guzzi. They're as close to a BSA as you're likely to get, and they REALLY let you know they're YOUR bike..!

This was a good report. I didn't see any mud that you referenced. Must not have dragged it on to the highway I guess. Nice looking bikes and it's good to see they get ridden, even in weather like that. You don't see much of that where I'm from.
