TOPIC: My Maserati AC goes warm at red lights but cold on

My Maserati AC goes warm at red lights but cold on 3 days 19 hours ago #1862

This one has been bugging me for a week, so I will just write it all down and see if anyone has seen the same thing. I have a 2016 Maserati Ghibli and the AC is actually fine while I am driving on the highway. Cold, strong, no complaints. But the moment I stop at a signal or sit in traffic for a few minutes, the air slowly turns warm and the car feels like a sauna. When I start moving again it comes back to cold after maybe a minute. I noticed it more in the last two weeks because the afternoon heat here is really heavy. My first thought was low gas, but a friend said if it was gas then it would be bad on the highway too. Then another friend said it could be the cooling fan that is not spinning fast enough when the car is standing still. I honestly had never thought about the fan having anything to do with AC. I went online one night just to understand how it works, and I opened a page about Maserati cars on a Sharjah website that talked about the condenser, the fan and the compressor. It was easy to follow, and I only used it to learn the words so I could ask better questions. Someone at my office said I should look for an Exclusive Maserati AC specialist in Sharjah Industrial Area because regular garages are scared to touch these cars, and he said the agency charges too much for small jobs. I am not sure how true that is, but it made me think. I have a few questions for anyone who owns an Italian car. Is it normal for the AC to get weaker when the car is not moving, even a little bit? How can I tell if the fan is the problem without paying for a big repair? Do I need to worry about the condenser being blocked with dust or sand? Also, how much time should a proper check take, and what should the garage show me before they change any part? I do not want to pay for a new compressor if it is only a fan or a relay. If you had the same issue, please tell me what it was in the end and about how much you paid. Thanks a lot for reading.
