TOPIC: Anyone tried the Amaron 80D26L battery replacement

Anyone tried the Amaron 80D26L battery replacement 2 weeks 2 days ago #1831

I have been putting off replacing the battery in my Camry for a couple of weeks now and I think I have finally pushed my luck too far. Yesterday morning it barely started and there was that slow cranking sound that tells you the end is near. I checked around a bit online and came across a place that does an Exclusive Amaron 80D26L battery replacement in Business Bay, which sounds convenient since I work nearby and could probably get it sorted during my lunch break. What I am wondering is whether anyone here has actually used them or knows someone who did. I am not looking for a sales pitch, just honest feedback from people who have dealt with battery replacements in that area. Did they come to your car or did you have to go to them? How long did the whole thing take? I have never bought an Amaron before, I usually just grab whatever the garage has in stock, so I am curious if the brand really lives up to the hype or if it is all just marketing. Also, do these guys check your alternator or charging system before installing, because I would hate to kill a new battery with an underlying issue I did not know about. My old battery lasted about two and a half years, which feels short to me, though maybe that is normal in this heat. If you have had a good or bad experience with mobile battery services around Business Bay, I would really appreciate hearing about it. I am mostly worried about being overcharged or getting a fake unit, since I have heard stories of people buying batteries that turned out to be refurbished. Any tips on what to check when they install it would also help. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post, I just want to get this right the first time.
