Having trouble getting a set of exhaust pipes to fit a 1969 A50. Have had to return 4 sets to 2 different distributors because of bad fit left hand side. The right side bolts up like it has eyes, but the pipes for the right side are all about an inch too low where they run under the primary chain case. Anyone else had this problem.

This is a very common problem encountered these days. Some of the re-production parts just fit so poorly. Often, the best thing to do is get the original pipes re-chromed, if they are not badly dented. Small dents can be worked out with patience (best done after the chrome has been removed). Let me check with my supplier to see how his pipes fit, and see if it is possible to buy only one pipe, and I'll try to get back to you.

Checked with my supplier, and he is having some pipes made up, but he does not know when he will have any to offer for sale. As for selling single pipes, he does not do it. You have to buy a set of them. Sorry. Best thing you can do is look for an original set that just needs rechromed, and go that way.
