I found this B40 in the shed a couple of months ago. It was parked there about 8 years ago after my dad and I got it from a friend who was downsizing his collection. I had forgotten about it until someone on Facebook posted a really niftly looking B40 in England. Anyway I liberated it from the back of the shed, dusted it off, swished out the gas tank and poked around in the carb, added oil and gasoline, checked for spark, then gave it one kick and it burst into life. One of those very rare occasions indeed! :)

Apparently its what you'd call a 1965 B40 Enduro Star.

It is a lovely plonky little engine, and just my size. I have another B40 which is used in hare scrambles, but I think I will get this one (barely) street legal and use it as a little runabout bike. Cute, isn't it?

Chris, what you've got there is the perfect Reliability Run bike. Come on out and ride it. You'll have fun - for sure.
Yes, the Avatar image is an actual picture of me - back when I was younger and handsomer.
