Funny thing, this ad...

I also have an '80 RS250...
I'll be bringing it to the June meet at Steubenville.

Somewhat similar to the above ad, except both wheels are Suzuki.
I spent $900+ in parts alone, rebuilt the engine, and suspension, wheel bearings and seals.
New shift shaft and shift lever, and a new kick lever.
New brake and clutch cables. Chain and both sprockets.

The fenders and muffler are original. At least I think the rear is original... It's the same color as the remaining right side panel...
There is no left side panel, never got it with the bike, and I cannot order a new one.... No longer made.
The rear shocks are Boge Mulhollands, with the orange colored springs?

The original headlamp, hi-lo switch, and kill button are on the bike, but the headlamp has never worked [ never tried to chase down why ], and the kill button's rubber is torn off, so the actual contact button is long gone, wiring is intact, except I never had the wiring to the tail light... Which also is not on the bike. The mounting points are there, just no lens or fixtures.

....I _MIGHT_ have 4 hours actual riding time on the bike??? It's been there at Steubenville for many years, if anyone has noticed... The rebuild was done @ 2000??? So yeah, it isn't "fresh"..
I ride the bike at Steubenville, to get up to the trials section I would be checking, and that's about all the riding it would get for the year.
...I might have riden it around a little bit, on the trails, but that was all it got.
No, it isn't as pretty as the one above, the seat has a tear on the right side, it's tearing along the bottom of the seat pan at the rear corners, both sides, no new fenders, or shinny new FMF muffler, the original muffler is as black as the pipe.

The grips could be replaced, they have tears on the ends... Far as I know, they came with the bike when I got it, and work for me.

The tires are the re-inforced heavy-duty sidewall dual-sport type, sort of run-flat for a bit?
No, they are NOT NEW, but have a LOT of the knobs still there, they are hardly worn. TOUGH ol' tires! The front one still has the ...slots? cast in the rubber knobs, the rear tire has the ...slots? still evident on the side/corner knobs..

It is MUCH more bike than I can handle, used to it's full potential.... If it leaves, I'll stick with my 125 Rickman!
